The Buffalo News reported today that a 13-year-old girl was hospitalized Sunday after her mother bucked her off the hood of a car.  According to police reports, the incident occurred in a parking lot in South Buffalo.

The police stated that the girl and her 47-year-old mother were arguing over a cheeseburger. The girl proceeded to lay across the hood of her mother’s Ford Taurus and witnesses report the mother hit the gas and knocked the teen off the car, resulting in her head hitting the pavement.

The teen was taken to Women & Children’s Hospital where she was placed in the pediatric intensive care unit.  Charges are pending.
